Before we meet I ask my clients to be prepared!

What do I mean by that; I like my clients to be ready. I love food, this isn’t going to be a diet, I’m not a dietitian, or nutritionist. I’m looking at ways to improve your nutritional eating and making it a lifestyle. We may look at regular eating times, making sure you feel like you’ve achieved your goals, designing the therapy to your individual needs.

Usually, well, many of us have participated in several diets, so, already we know which diet is helpful, what foods make us feel bloated, sick or if we have allergies, and still we feel the need to keep dieting, knowing the diets will only lasted a few months. Then, when we’ve stopped a particular diet, we might notice another weight increase.

I realised, it may be because we don’t like our selves; we don’t feel enough, we don’t like the way we look in the mirror, we don’t like how our cloths fit or how they make us feel. And we’ve noticed there’s an extra burden on the body. But we continue to eat because we’re not able to stop eating.

When we meet for your psychotherapy and clinical hypnotherapy therapy, I ask various questions. We talk about your triggers about your eating, we ask if you really want to change, we want to find out your beliefs on sugary foods, do you think it’s an addiction?

These therapies have a good chance of successfully improving your weight loss goals. I work with you, we plan, it may be food, it may be walking, exercise, or even a hobby. We are working together so you’re able to achieve easy goals. We work together weekly. The program is designed to accommodate your progress. The program can be delivered in 4 to 7 sessions. This is an estimate as each person’s progress isn’t the same, occasionally additional therapy is required, especially if we’re tackling complex issues.

With psychotherapy and clinical hypnosis, I’m able to integrate your therapy, you’re experiences. Your mind is aware of the here and now, it’s also feels overloaded, has general clutter and filling it up with unhelpful suggestions, the other part of your mind stores everything else. The general cluttered mind chunks out what it needs. Today this cluttered mind doesn’t want you to continue overeating, it’s noticed your body is battling feelings of fatigue, low energy, stress, anxiety, isolation, guilt, low self-esteem.  You feel that you’ve lost control of your thoughts, your feelings, your life.  The therapy places you into a relaxed state, where we talk to both parts of the mind, to integrate your decision to become the healthier person you deserve successfully improving your life.  This state of hypnosis is where you’re feeling a lovely state of relaxation, and we’re starting to release barriers and integrate the process for you to achieve your goal to be have a healthier lifestyle.

Do you really want to break the habit?

I want to ask you, “what’s the real reason you’re here wanting hypnosis to lose weight”?

Has the doctor suggested a gastric band/sleeve operation?

This is the time you know you need help, but don’t want to go to that extreme.

Don’t forget you’re the person wanting/needing to be healthier and have a nutritious lifestyle. This is your promise, your commitment to change your life?

More than likely, nothing has worked and someone said they know someone who’s successfully improved with a weight loss program using hypnosis. You’re so desperate, you’re willing to try anything.
